We got her

Lomantas Family
Ma’am Fe with daughter Michelle and husband Arthur

We’ve finally tracked down Ma’am Fe, our dear class adviser who has been based in Bohol for years.

You have read in our previous posts that we were in contact with a niece of hers, Jo Ann Lomantas, who helped us link up with our long lost teacher. Jo Ann, who is currently in Leyte, had earlier given us a phone number that turned out to be already inactive. What she did next was to get the number of Ma’am’s daughter, who in turn gave us her mom’s correct number. Whew!

Anyway, Remy Tuazon had a phone chat with Ma’am yesterday. In her report, Remy said Ma’am was so happy to hear from us again and expressed her appreciation for our efforts to look for her. She hasn’t forgotten our class. In fact, she started asking about Zeny, Larry, Pearly, Rorie and the rest – as if checking the class attendance.

Ma’am Fe is married to Mr. Arthur Lomantas, the brother of Jo Ann’s father. Their only daughter, Michelle, is a nursing graduate and awaiting the results of the board exams. Ma’am Calope retired in 2002.

We are happy to know that Ma’ am will be attending our get-together in July. For sure it will be one heck of a reunion.

Ma’am Fe’s been found – almost!

We wrote recently that we sent a message to a Friendster user whose last name was Lomantas, Ma’am Fe’s married name. She finally responded and she does not know a Felicitas Calope-Lomantas, which was the name we mistakenly gave her. The good news is that – hold your breath – she knows someone called Purificacion Calope-Lomantas. Yehey!

This is her reply:

My uncle (the brother of my father) Arthur Lomantas, is married to PURIFICACION CALOPE-LOMANTAS. She might be the same person/teacher you are looking for. Nag-teach siya sa Manila, but I’m not sure if it was in Lakan Dula High School. Ask muna ako.

This lady is based in Balilihan, Bohol and reading her note closely (“Nag-teach siya sa Manila…”), we can assume that our beloved class adviser has indeed returned to her home province.

We have replied to this email and asked for Ma’am Fe’s contact number. We’ll keep you posted.

Where’s Ma’am Fe?

Ma’am Fe

Does anyone know where and how we could find our dearest Ma’am Fe? It has been ages since we last saw and heard from her and no one among the peps seems to know where she is now.

Ma’am Fe is shown in this photo taken sometime in the 80’s when she joined us in one of our Angono trips. Another gathering she attended was Zeny’s graduation party.

Let’s find her. Ma’am Fe’s married name is Purificacion Calope-Lomantas. By hook or by crook, she must attend our planned class reunion.
