Reunion story

We’d been receiving emails from the peps, asking us to write something about the reunion we held last July 12-13 in Calamba, Laguna. So here it is, at last. And to start off, allow us to open this story with messages sent to us by two peps:

“Thanks a lot for a great weekend of fun at the reunion. Sure am happy to have spent time with all of you. Even for a moment I have once again experienced how it is to feel young and carefree. Love you all.”

Reunion speeches

The opening speeches delivered by our high school teachers during our class reunion last July are now uploaded on our YouTube channel. Below is Ma’am Fe Calope-Lomantas’s very inspiring talk:

Reunion photos

We are posting here the pictures taken during our successful class reunion held last July 12-13 at the Makiling Highlands in Calamba, Laguna. We would like to apologize for the delay. As you all know, the person responsible for updating the site has been remiss of his task since going on vacation in the Philippines. Nevertheless, he promised to write about the reunion and post all the other pictures (and videos) soon.

The peps and Ma’am Fe: Reunited after more than 20 years

On July 10 a welcome lunch was held for Ma’am Fe Calope-Lomantas and daughter Michelle who arrived from Bohol the day before. Members of the “welcome committee” were Zeny Cervantes, Remy Tuazon (with husband Danny Martin), Jo Monte de Ramos, Lito Parungo, Keith dela Cruz and birthday boy George Hizon. Venue was Dampa sa Libis, a nice restaurant that offers a wide array of fresh seafood.

Lunch date

A lunch date is set for Thursday, July 10, to welcome Ma’am Fe Calope-Lomantas (with daughter MIchelle) and Eddie Roberto (who arrived from Qatar last July 4). Please contact Remy Tuazon for the details.

By 3 p.m. we are expected to be at the LDHS campus in Tondo. Ma’am Yoly Perez and Ma’am Beth Bustamante will be there to welcome us.

On July 11 we are also going to celebrate George Hizon’s birthday. We hope to discuss the details of this event on Thursday.

Please do attend these pre-reunion activities.

Reunion countdown

Ang maleta

Simula na rin ng pag-eempake

The countdown to our July class reunion has begun. We are going to regularly update this particular post for announcements:

  1. Ma’am Fe has decided to move her arrival date from July 6 to July 9. As we told you earlier, she is staying at Remy Tuazon’s place in Antipolo. We are organizing a visit to Lakan Dula with her, so let us know if you want to tag along. Ma’am and daughter Michelle are returning to Bohol on July 14. Thanks to Remy for booking their flight.
  2. Keith has paid for the venue and would like to thank the peps who have donated to the reunion fund. Ruby Gaviola, our treasurer, will come up with an accounting of these donations as soon as possible.
  3. Yoly Mañalac has sent a card to the Laarni Canicula we found on the net and let’s hope she responds.
  4. A meeting is tentatively set for June 29 to finalize everything. Watch for Remy’s confirmation.
