Jo Monte de Ramos is our birthday girl today. So we thought of greeting her by wearing the same hat that she’s donning in this photo. Happy, happy birthday, madam. After all those trying months you had to endure, we do hope you’ll find time to spend more time for yourself. And please also extend our felicitations to your brother, Gil, who has yet to say hello to all of us.
A group of peps met up last December 28 to celebrate Christmas together and welcome our newly-arrived classmate, Chie dela Peña. Present were Ana Marie Joaquin, Ruby Gaviola, Jo Monte de Ramos, Chie, Remy Tuazon, Gil Buan, Keith dela Cruz, Didi Espiritu, Eddie Roberto, John Marcella, and George Hizon.
Following up on our previous post, Keith as model, did you know that several peps were inspired to have their photos taken for consideration in future castings? The spur-of-the-moment pictorial took place during the despedida for Lito Parungo, where, over dinner, Keith dela Cruz shared his first experience as a print model. Challenged, those listening to his story averred they could also do it.
We therefore present to you our classmates in their best element.
These photos were taken last August 12, when the peps decided to have an impromptu despedida dinner for Lito Parungo. The venues were Spring Deer Restaurant and Marina, both in Timog, Quezon City. Those who managed to come were Ruby Gaviola, Jo Monte de Ramos, John Marcella, Keith dela Cruz and George Hizon.
Here are the pictures taken during the peps’ welcome session with Ana Marie Joaquin, our classmate who was finally reunited with the “herd” after more than 20 years. The get-together was held last October 31 at Jerry’s Grill in Makati City.

When we went to Lakan Dula High School last July 10, we received a sollicitation letter from Mrs. Florinda V. Sarabuno, head of the school’s social studies department, for the building of a mini-museum that focuses on Tondo.
Below is Mrs. Sarabuno’s letter to our batch, addressed to our classmate Lito Parungo. The letter, which can also be downloaded here, has the endorsement of LDHS’s current principal Mrs. Rosalinda C. Nepomuceno. The full text:

On July 10 a welcome lunch was held for Ma’am Fe Calope-Lomantas and daughter Michelle who arrived from Bohol the day before. Members of the “welcome committee” were Zeny Cervantes, Remy Tuazon (with husband Danny Martin), Jo Monte de Ramos, Lito Parungo, Keith dela Cruz and birthday boy George Hizon. Venue was Dampa sa Libis, a nice restaurant that offers a wide array of fresh seafood.
