It’s been almost two years since we had this get-together in Baguio, so we are thinking of having another kitakits next month. There are already two options being considered: a trip back to the City of Pines or an overnight swimming in Laguna or some place else near Manila. Please let us know what your preference is or, better still, if you have any other suggestions. A potluck lunch at the house of our favorite host, Ruby Gaviola-Guevarra, will be held to discuss this planned outing.
Classmate Chie dela Peña has finally posted some pics of our Christmas Party held last December at Ruby Gaviola’s dig in Quezon City. We shall be posting these also at our online photo gallery. Thanks, Chie!
Our class officers met last night to firm up plans for the peps’ upcoming activities. Present were Lito Parungo, Keith dela Cruz, George Hizon, Ruby Gaviola-Guevarra and Remy Tuazon-Martin. The meeting was held at Dampa sa Libis, where birthday boy George pampered the group with a seafood galore, and at Jack’s Loft in Eastwood City. Joining them were Danny Martin, Noel and Kim Guevarra.
Noel Guevarra has posted these videos of our Christmas party on our YouTube channel.
Held last December 23 at Spring Deer Restaurant in Timog, Quezon City, this get-together was attended by the following:
Dado Dizon, Ronnie Gorgonio Keith dela Cruz, Eddie Roberto, George Hizon, John Marcella, Gil Buan (with wife Elsie and daughter Patnubay), Jun Vigo and Zeny Cervantes (with daughters Zarah Jayne and Joann Zayra), Remy Tuazon (with husband Danny Martin), Ruby Gaviola (with Noel), Nitz Mercado (with daughter Patricia and son Victor Jaime) and Jo Monte de Ramos.
Ito ang pang-inggit nila sa mga hindi nakadalo.
Our Christmas party is set for December 23, from 6:30 p.m., at the Spring Deer Seafood Restaurant along Timog Ave., corner Scout Tobias St., Quezon City. The event is also the occasion to formally welcome our newly-arrived classmate Dado Dizon. Don’t make any other appointment on this day. Everyone’s required to attend.
You are also requested to bring a gift worth P300 for the exchange gift.
Please get in touch with either Remy Tuazon or Keith dela Cruz for more information.
See you there!
So how do you make a 50-year-old guy forget, albeit temporarily, that age is catching up with him? Throw him a children’s party.
And that’s precisely what Ruby Gaviola had in mind when she concocted this surprise birthday party for hubby Noel Guevarra last December 8 at McDonalds El Pueblo in Mandaluyong.
During the impromptu program, with Mcdo’s in-house showmasters pepping up the guests to show off their talents, Jo Monte de Ramos did a split, Ana Marie performed a stand-up act (we mean that literally), and John Marcella displayed his dancing prowess.
Noel, by virtue of his being married to our classmate Ruby, is part of our extended family. In fact, his association with the peps dates back to our college years, when his love affair with Ruby was still in its “gestation” period.
After watching this video, please don’t think that the peps are already having their second childhood. They just miss being young again.
