When we saw this picture of Joshua Roberto, we suddenly recalled that Eddie could also play the guitar during our high school days. We have kind of forgotten this fact because Eddie never performed in any school program and would only strum the guitar during our drinking sessions at their place. Paul McCrane’s “Is it okay if I call you mine?” was his favorite piece, a song that best expressed what he had been wanting to say to a classmate who was his greatest crush at the time.

Another reunion video

Our friend Eddie Roberto started mounting this presentation immediately after our July 2008 reunion as a way of showing his appreciation to each and every member of the class. It took him quite a while to finish it because of some technical problems and, of course, his kaabalahan with his Canadian immigration.

The Robertos have already got their visas but are still awaiting the go-signal of Eddie’s employer in Edmonton. Instead of waiting at home, Ed has decided to go back to Qatar for extra petrodollars. He’s leaving this Saturday and will be coming back to the Philippines on April 30.

Happy trip, Eddie Boy, and thanks for this labor of love.

This month Munich was once again host to what is called Oktoberfest, an annual event that attracts an estimated six million people not only from all over Germany but abroad. It’s more than two weeks of revelry – and beer. Lots and lots of it.

Our class would have wanted to ape this merrymaking by celebrating our classmates’ birthdays. Today is Buddy Ignacio’s birthday and on October 16 it will be Rosemarie Domingo’s. But we are putting off the partying because, as you know, we have yet to locate them.

Oops, teka lang!

Eric’s arrival, Eddie’s departure

Jeddah-based Eric Macatangay told us his trip to the Philippines had been postponed. He was supposed to have arrived in Manila yesterday, but unfortunately his flight was moved to March 18. Tough luck, considering that he was all set to attend our March 16 meeting.

Eddie Roberto, meanwhile, has left for Qatar a few days ago for a short-term stint. He will be back in June, in time for our July reunion.

It is strongly suggested that Eric should sit in the reunion’s invitations committee and Eddie, in the program committee.

The Robertos

The Robertos

We are indeed a growing clan. This time it is Eddie’s turn to introduce his family.

Eddie is happily married to the former Jennifer Besas, a nurse manager at the St. Jude Hospital and Medical Center and a part-time clinical instructor at St. Jude College. Their unico hijo , Joshua, is now twelve years old and a grade six student at the Jose Abad Santos Memorial School in Quezon City.

Eddie is back

Eduardo Roberto is finally back in town. We are reprinting here his first note for all of us. Welcome to the site, Eddie, and we expect more postings from you. Miss ka na ng mga tao.

Hello guys!!! How are you? It’s been a long while since I last heard from you and, of course, I did miss you a lot. I just arrived from a 7-month working stint in Indonesia and it was only yesterday that I was able to learn about this website from Keith nung magkausap kami sa phone.

Hey, I really had a nice time browsing this website especially when I saw those pictures taken in Angono and LDHS – nakakatuwa na nakakaiyak… It seems as if it was only a couple of years ago when we had our get-together in Angono and Batangas, tapos ngayon puro alaala na lang ng nakalipas ang mga yun. Ah, those were the days…those days of harutan, alaskahan at walang patid na tawanan ng mga IV-1 peps…those precious scenes of yesteryears which I will always treasure and remember… deep within my heart.

Well, I think this is all for now…and with this short message from you ex-classmate and barkada, I want to greet everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Reunion uli!!!!

Take care always and God bless you all.
