In our previous post we promised we would be featuring poems published in the Valentine’s issue of The Barangay circa 1977. Featured poets are Conrad Santiago, Jorge Bagasan Jr., Zenaida Cervantes and George Hizon. Conrad and Jorge are from IV-3.

This is for the current crop of LDHS students out there who might be looking for ways to study effectively: a how-to article written 38 years ago by our wacky classmate Ana Marie Joaquin. Be forewarned, though, that parental guidance is required. We can only hope that reading this piece of advice will, as its title suggests, put a smile on your face.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Ana Marie Joaquin and her whole family on the death of her mother Getrudes. Mom Getrudes passed away yesterday after a lingering illness. The wake is at the Elysium Memorial on Juan Luna, near Maypajo. The peps are planning to go there tomorrow, so please contact Remy Tuazon if you can come along.
Okay, okay, we already know that the peps are a multi-talented bunch. But can they also sing? To find out please watch the videos we shall be uploading here in the coming days, which were shot during Ana Marie Joaquin-Chua’s birthday celebration held at Red Box in Trinoma last August 1. We are starting off with the birthday girl herself with the video above.
Here are the pictures taken during the peps’ welcome session with Ana Marie Joaquin, our classmate who was finally reunited with the “herd” after more than 20 years. The get-together was held last October 31 at Jerry’s Grill in Makati City.
