Mana-mana lang

When we saw this picture of Joshua Roberto, we suddenly recalled that Eddie could also play the guitar during our high school days. We have kind of forgotten this fact because Eddie never performed in any school program and would only strum the guitar during our drinking sessions at their place. Paul McCrane’s “Is it okay if I call you mine?” was his favorite piece, a song that best expressed what he had been wanting to say to a classmate who was his greatest crush at the time.

Recognition Day

LDHS held its annual Recognition Day last April 2 and one of those who graced the occasion was our former journalism teacher and Batch ’70 president Beth Bustamante-Hua. Ma’am Beth was there to personally hand out special awards to four students (one per year level) who have been most active in community service. The awards are being sponsored by their batch and Batch ’68. Our congratulations to all the awardees and, of course, to the graduating class of 2011.
