The search for the missing members of Batch ’78 is still in full swing. This time, it is Alex Santos who has been recently “checkmated”, as our friend Chris Panlilio described how they found  their classmate and got him into a drinking session.

Brunei-based Alex, who happened to be the class president of IV-2, is currently vacationing in the Philippines and it is his first time to be reunited with his former classmates.

The group met up for lunch at Rowena de Omaña’s house in Caloocan City before proceeding to attend the fiesta at Sonny Jarabe’s place.

Sulat ng anak

Naaalala n’yo pa ba ang Sulat ni Tatay at Nanay sa atin na  inilathala natin dito sa ating blog? Marami rin ang naantig sa artikulong iyon na sinulat ni Fr. Ariel Robles. Ngayon naman ay ang sagot sa naturang sulat ng isa ring pari na nagpakilala bilang Fr. Den, isang youth minister. Sa punto-de-bista naman ng isang anak ang isinulat ito. Salamat kay Fr. Den sa pagpapadala nito at kay Oliver B. Santos ng Samahang Makasining para sa painting na ginamit namin sa artikulo.

Dear Mrs. President

Aside from calling her Ma’am Beth, you may now address our former journalism teacher as Mrs. President, by virtue of her being elected as president of LDHS Batch 1970. During their last month’s grand reunion homecoming, which was also attended by a number of US-based alumni, the class was unanimous in choosing Mrs. Bustamante-Hua to lead the pack.
