Tito Ramon is the name of a nice watering hole we recently discovered in Tondo. Located along Tayuman St. (adjacent to the Shell gas station on Abad Santos), the bar is really a welcome treat to those looking for a wholesome and relatively inexpensive place in the area to chill out with friends or relatives.
Classmate Lito Parungo, together with some friends from Raxabago, went there recently and was pleasantly surprised how cozy the place was. It was a weekday and the weather was not that fine, but still quite a number of guests were present, including Lito’s mom, who, Lito would find out two days later, was also having dinner that same night with her friends and priests of the Cathedral Church.
Tito Ramon’s Garden Grille, as its name suggests, is a landscaped garden. Half of it is open-air and the other half is covered. The food is good enough but the main attraction could definitely be the different live bands that perform every night, like the Red Thread Band:
And videoke fanatics need not worry. There is always this so-called jammer’s session where band members would call on those who want to sing onstage. Watch these videos:
Ok, di ba? Di mo na kailangang lumabas ng Tondo at bumiyahe nang malayo para mag-enjoy.
