This month Munich was once again host to what is called Oktoberfest, an annual event that attracts an estimated six million people not only from all over Germany but abroad. It’s more than two weeks of revelry – and beer. Lots and lots of it.
Our class would have wanted to ape this merrymaking by celebrating our classmates’ birthdays. Today is Buddy Ignacio’s birthday and on October 16 it will be Rosemarie Domingo’s. But we are putting off the partying because, as you know, we have yet to locate them.
Oops, teka lang!
There’s still hope for a drinking and eating session. Sandwiched between these two celebrants is Eddie Roberto, who was born on October 13 many, many years ago (although hindi halata if you look at him in the photo below).
Let’s all pray Eddie could still oganize his own version of Oktoberfest for all of us. Eddie and family are leaving soon for Canada, kaya pagsawaan na natin hangga’t nandyan pa siya.
Happy birthday, dear classmate and friend. Have a nice time with your family and, of course, with the peps. And to Buddy and Rosemarie, happy birthday too and we do hope to find you soon. To all of you, cheers!
