Holy Week in Nueva Ecija

We are posting here a couple of pics taken in Nueva Ecija, where George, Lito and the late Jaime Borja once spent their Holy Week in mid-1980s. The group and some college buddies stayed at the house of a common friend in San Jose.

Gil Buan in Ontario?

Our recent search on the internet yielded an entry on a certain “Gil Buan” of Ontario, Canada. We have sent him an email and let’s see if he’s the “right” Gil we are looking for.

Or he could be the owner of this Friendster account that we also came across recently.

The peps haven’t heard from this math wizard since he attended our 1988 reunion in Batangas.

As far as we know, Larry and Gil’s family are still neighbors in Valenzuela. Maybe Larry could check out his whereabouts?

Update: Gil Buan has been found.

Memorable TV interviews

The following is a list of hilarious quotes uttered by various stars and personalities on live television during the ’70s and ’80s. Where we got this list? The internet, where else?

Here it goes:

*During an interview with Inday Badiday.
Inday Badiday: “Paano ka nag-susurvive sa mga trials mo?”
Melanie Marquez: “Alam mo Ate Ludz, you know, when you are alone, you really have to step your foot … ah , forward!”

Keith and his Petropolis

Should you find yourself in the vicinity of Timog Avenue, Quezon City, please don’t forget to pass by Landsdale Arcade, a commercial building near Quezon Avenue. It is where Keith dela Cruz’s veterinary clinic is located.

Since graduating from college, Keith had been talking about his plan of having his own practice. After working for various companies in the Philippines and abroad, he finally realized his dream. In 2005, Petropolis Animal Clinic & Grooming Center officially opened its doors for business.

Keith is sharing his experience in putting up the clinic and how it is going now. Who knows, his experience might inspire those of us who are also considering to start their own business and have the freedom of being self-employed.

By the way, Keith, shown below with his mom in his new house in Antipolo, is also maintaining a Friendster account, where we got the photos we used here.

Here is Keith’s article:

In a week’s time we will be observing All Soul’s Day. Just like the rest of the nation, all of us will remember and honor our departed loved ones. May we request you to include our classmate, Jaime Borja, and our teacher, Mrs. Elma Baking, in your prayers? Please light a candle for both as a way of thanking them for having been part of our lives.

Remy Tuazon is connected

As promised, we are giving you an update on our dear classmate, Remy Tuazon.

Remy found out about the site when she and Keith crossed paths at Shopwise in Antipolo last Saturday. Small world, isn’t it? For those who do not know yet, both are now residents of Antipolo: Remy moved there after she got married in the ’80s, while Keith bought a house and lot in one of the city’s subdivisions a few years back.

Going back to Remy … She would like to extend her congratulations to all the people behind the site, saying this will really help reunite the class. At kumusta raw syempre sa lahat ng peps.
